From the Calathea lineage of plants, the royal standard dons iridescent silver with dark green borders. Not only a stunner, this plant’s leaves interestingly lift and lower day and night due to a biological sunlight response.

Appearance: Wide, oval leaves with a combination of hunter green, silver, and rosy pink. While rare, can produce small soft pink flowers with right conditions.
Origin: South America
Enjoys: Humidity, a shady spot with filtered light (avoid direct and mid-day sunlight)
Care: Keep soil slightly moist but not saturated. Calatheas are not drought-tolerant, so try not to let it dry out completely between waterings. Fertilize about once a month during growing season (spring and summer). Keep away from drafty, cool areas.
Soil: Well-draining potting mix. Preferably organic-rich and moist.
Temp: No lower than 60 °F, no higher than 85 °F
